The Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI) organized an interactive, educative session for members on the most critical corporate publication, the Annual Report. Mr. Arvind Agrawal, CEO, Atherstone Investor Communications Limited was the keynote speaker at the event.

In the present economic crisis, proactive and comprehensive communication to investors and other stakeholders is imperative to retain confidence in any company's operations. Moreover, since Indian companies are now competing at a global level, it is important that their annual reports conform to the best standards in the world. These were the two key points of Mr. Agarwal's presentation. He also highlighted the various techniques through which companies could optimize costs relating to annual reports.

The event was attended by over 50 senior professionals in-charge of the annual report from all major companies of India Speaking at the event, Mr. Yogesh Josh, National President, ABCI, said "Issues such as corporate transparency, governance reporting and a comprehensive account of annual activities are key to evaluating any organisation. It is important that these issues are addressed in a proper manner by companies in their annual reports. This evening was part of ABCI's initiatives to assist our members to understand global trends in communication. Mr. Agrawal's presentation has been thought provoking and entirely relevant and I am sure all attendees are greatly benefited from the same".
